Report Pollution

THANK YOU for being the eyes and ears of the Penobscot Bay Watershed. To report pollution, please contact us and we will help you document, investigate, and report pollution to the appropriate authority. We will protect your identity and report issues anonymously if requested.

***If there is an emergency that involves public safety, please call 911.***

• Report non-emergent issues via email to pete@penbaywaterkeeper.org.

• If there is a serious environmental threat, please contact our Interim Executive Director, Pete Nichols, via cell at (707) 845-0832.

• If there is an immediate pollution threat or active spill, in addition to contacting us, please contact Maine Department of Environmental Protection (DEP)’s 24-hour emergency hotline at (800) 482-0777.

• Remember a picture is worth a thousand words, so please photo document any potential issues to the best of your ability and make notes of relevant observations.
